I agree with you that 'All things work together for good for those who love God.' It is a blessing that you can help other people who have suffered what you suffered. The comfort and support that you can give now is the good fruit of your own suffering. You are helping to resurrect others. 'Comfort one another with the same comfort you yourselves
have been comforted with.'

From what I have found, the inspiration to continue, comes in many different forms. My favorite poet wrote "passing glimpse" it's by Robert frost, the poem is about a woman on train and catches a glimpse of some flowers. She cannot identify the flowers, but all the same is grateful for the chance to have seen them, because "God gives glimpses to those not in a position to look too closely". It's from his collection called " A swinger of Birches". If you want to find the book, it will be in the children's section of a large corporate bookstore.

I love Robert Frost. I once heard a recording of him reading his own work. It was amazing. If you ever get the chance to find it, you'll be happy to listen.

I'm afraid I disagree. I don't think any of us will ever forget the terrible things that have happened in our lives. But I do think the negative emotions will fade, and we will learn to live with our memories, and accept our past, in a way that it doesn't haunt us. We will accept that it wasn't our fault, that we weren't to blame. Our nights won't be filled with the terror of nightmares, and our days wont be full of anxiety, and fear of flashbacks. We will find some peace despite our past.
