Readers thread: what or who are you reading right now?

I liked both authors and will read more from them (somewhere up thread but William Faulkner and Anya von Bremzen). But came home with 5 books from my friends mom who was my special buddy (she passed at 99 1/2 years old) - 5 Eugenia Price, including 3 of her novels and one of them signed by the author.

Sure it's okay Purusha... and I'll bet someone can come forward with suggestions. I read everything from Ray Bradbury but don't know how philosophical that was and I was young... from like 11-20 years old, but I read everything that man ever wrote. Non scifi but quirky and philosophical is Richard Bach (another author who's work I've read all of).

I love Richard Bach! Now I'm reading Those Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero. I just started. It's almost about the Scooby Doo clan grown up, but the names have changed. It sounds fun.

I just finished Locker Nine by Franklin Horton and it is another survivalist story where the dad teaches his daughter how to survive in case "the shit hits the fan", and all she has to do when the shit hits the fan is make it to locker 9, where she finds hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of survival gear, including a truck and guns. It was same story different day. I enjoy post apocalyptic novels, but not survivalist or prepper type.

Robert Heinlein is philosophical, if you like his ideas. He's a little off the wall, but I enjoyed his stories a lot. I used to read my brother's Boy's Life magazine, and he wrote many short stories for that magazine. Stranger in a Strange Land was my favorite novel back then. I was going to reread it, but never got around to it.

KNOW YOUR BIBLE is a little book that gives a lot of facts about the Bible, like who wrote each book of it, when it was written, a little summary of the book itself and so on. It is published by a company called Value Books. I don't see an author.
