Hello,

I am looking for book that I would want to get relating with overcoming PTSD and CBT skills.

I tried to find different books at barnes and nobles but I can't seem to find right one.

I am afraid to buy and realizing that it is not what I am looking for.

What am I looking for?

- Effective treatment on overcoming PTSD
- CBT and DBT Skills
- Yes, I would like to include workbook as well

Any of you can recommend me some list?

Hopefully these books are at the reasonable price as well.

Thanks

It's good, but I can't say I've compared it to others. Here's the ISBN number which should help you find it:

978-0-07-161494-8

Glenn R. Schiraldi

McGraw Hill

"The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety" is a great workbook I have used.
Dead Link Removed

It uses a lot of CBT concepts and mindfulness from DBT. I have never done it with a therapist, but just the workbook, and I found it really super easy to understand and a helpful complement to the other work I was doing.

This isn't a workbook, but it's a great resource for learning and practicing DBT skills: http://www.dbtselfhelp.com/

In no particular order:

Safe People: How to Find Relationships That are Good for You and Avoid Those That Aren't by Cloud and Townsend

In addition to others' recommendations...

These are not workbooks...

Publications from The Institute of Heartmath (they also have a software program for anxiety management)
Pete Walker's Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving (not on a particular type of therapy, but it was REALLY helpful)
