So, yesterday while doing nothing at home someone broke into my car. I heard a knock so faint I thought it was the television, by the time I looked outside there was nothing to see. When my husband got home he told me that the doors were partially open and everything was dumped out of the glove box; the only thing that I know is missing is my handicap placard. Losers. I can't muster up the energy to care. I think I am angry but I feel nothing. I guess I should report it, although I'm sure nothing will come of it. Nothing happened when my home was broken into and my medication was stolen, even with fingerprints taken. Nothing happened when I reported three of my rapes. Should I even bother with the police over this? Wtf is wrong with people?

People are dicks or at least the people who stole your sign are dicks. Sorry you've had such bad experiences with law enforcement.

You need to at least report it to DMV and get a replacement. Not so much so the scumbags can be caught because they probably won't but because you need a new one.

Life, is so strange. I had a legal handicapped placard. While getting dog food at Costco I came out to find a ticket on my car that it was expired by 7 days. Big fine to fight.

Same result with assaults. It is a very strange police civil servant and money garnering game. Prey on the easy things, cops patrolling parking lots and writing tickets. No question that the placard was mine and legally, but a fine for expiration. WTF indeed.

I heard there is also a $300 fine if you accidentally park on the yellow lines. Can't they cut us some slack? Yeah, who cares about assaults when there are parking lots to patrol? Thanks for understanding, @Changeling.

Whoever broke into your home is absolutely pathetic. Seriously, why don't they go rob a billionaire or something. Then they'd actually get rich and those billionaires would still be fine. It pisses me off that people do stuff like this.

I can understand not wanting to report this, especially after the way the police have treated you in the past. You should do whatever you feel is best for you.
