Shaking/dizzy Headaches

I decided to put this in discussion because I'm really not sure what causes these dizzy spells. I know I've been stressed out lately and usually these are more common if I am tense or stressed.

The best way I can describe these headaches are that they hurt in the frontal lobe, right by the sinuses. I'll have a headache all day and at some point, I'll get dizzy. The dizziness isn't what I'd expect to feel when I'm dizzy though. I can stay perfectly still, even sitting or lying down, and the world feels like it is spinning around me. I can open my eyes and it looks like everything is shaking.

I've had this off and on for years (since I was about nine years old, I'd say) but I've never known what causes them. I wonder if it could be from PTSD, but it doesn't sound right. I do think they are stress related though but I wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this problem.

Do you feel physically weak, like a shaking leaf? Could be blood pressure, which is controlled by your auto nervous system which is screwed up by high/irregular adrenal activity...

Is it possible you are diabetic, or perhaps you are having either a cluster or migraine headache. Have you seen a doctor and told them about this? I recommend you do that.

That could be a lot of things to be honest. It really depends on the biochemistry of your body.

I can get shaky for many reasons. One could be that I'm hungry and my blood sugar is low, I'm hypoglycemic. Another could be that I'm in a lot of pain (I have chronic pain). 3: It could e because I'm having n anxiety attack because of my PTSD. 4: The deadly combination of all three. I could be having a bad day PTSD wise, which sets off my pain, and when I'm in pain I don't feel hungry. AND BAM there goes my blood sugar. It seems to simple now... but it took me years to figure out.

My best guess it to write EVERYTHING DOWN that affects you. Whether it's allergies, a predisposition for migraines, or an kind of stress you're under. Don't discount anything. It may be the smallest thing setting off something else. Have it all written down once and the next time something like this happens evaluate what you did or didn't do that day. And that may narrow down some things for you.

Best of luck on this.

I get really bad migraines when im stressed that are by my frontal lobe. I have fainting problems but not associated with the migranes. I feel if im thinking anything worrisome it gets worse. When im in extreme panic I sweat then faint, not always though.

I fainted when both my parents got cancer, deaths, stressful relationships, fights, and I even faint with good things, like the moment I realized how amazing my fiance is the first few months we dated. Im not sure, the doctors told me it was just fainting and nothing to be worried about. When I get like that I tell myself im okay and after laying down and breathing I feel better.

Might try drinking a bottle of water just in case it's dehydration - which lowers your blood pressure, plays havoc with your glucose level, makes you dizzy, can give you vertigo, severe headaches and even black outs. It sent my husband to the Emergency Room. That is how I learned.

It may not be dehydration, but you could rule it out by guzzling 1 or 2 bottles of water to see if it helps.

So sorry you are experiencing this. It can be frightening.
