Sleep Help - Herbs Or Supplements

I recommend the Delta Sleep System. (Dr. Jeffrey Thompson). You can find it on YouTube. I'll come back and post a link later.

He recommends putting one speaker on each side of the bed OR at the head and foot of the bed OR using headphones. You can also just play it from one side - it's not proven that it needs to be in stereo for it to work.

I didn't think I'd be able to do the headphone (in my case, earbuds) but I actually could.

My husband has had no luck with any of the options mentioned (besides sleep videos, which we havn't tried) Sometimes he can get to sleep, but not stay asleep. I was told by a psych that if taken to regularly, natural melatonin production will stop when taking melatonin (it didn't work for him anyway). Valerian worked but he woke up very drowsy, same with Trazadone (insomnia med). What he does now is use essential oils (lavender and a lavender mix called Serenity from Doterra) in a diffuser, then he takes a blood pressure med called minipres to get rid of nightmares and things that wake him up, so he stays asleep. Lately he has had a strange reaction to the minipres, perhaps the dosage is to high, so just beware of that possibility. It's been recommended to me to make a sleep schedule (just like I do for my kids, which really does work). Say you want to go to bed by 10pm at 9pm or 9:30 start your routine, and do the same things every night for at least 21 days. For example, 9:30 turn off computer, plug in phone and set alarm, put on pajamas, brush teeth, say a prayer. Using electronics like labtops or phones in bed will NOT help you sleep, the blue light tells your body it's day time. The point is to have a routine that tells your body this is when I go to sleep. Hope you are sleeping better!

Have you tried ASMR?? There are loads of vids on YouTube. I like Duff the Psych ASMR and Monotonic ASMR. Some ASMR vids can get pretty weird, but they aren't all like that lol. And while they don't fall under the category of ASMR, The Honest Guys have some pretty relaxing vids as well.
