It's crazy....I read about one couple who spent their entire savings on the end is coming billboards/signs and another young lady who quit medical school and moved with her family (2 yr old, hubby and she is 8 mo preg) to another state where they budgeted their savings to last until the 21st.

Apparently the church has been recieved millions of dollars in donations and those donations increased as the date got closer. You would think that the church/Harold Camping could be charged with some kind of fraud.

What I don't understand (well one of many things) is I'm sure I've heard Harold Camping having had predictions made before this; that like this one failed; and yet still there are those who keep listening. I wondered about if people would kill themselves also when they realised they were still here; not sure if anyone did :confused:

If it's happened before which I think is the case; probably there will be reasons given why the calculation was off and a new "date" will be given and it will happen again.

Gee... do you think? Its all a scam... nobody can predict the end of the world. Not even the Mayan calendar has been right with most of its predictions... people just assimilate things to dates. People believe what they want to believe, simple as that.

Geez, this has been a guess since biblical times. Didn't L. Ron Hubbard make lots of money out of this and kept changing the date? The truth is no one knows and if they did we wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

Yes, very much feel they should be charged with fraud. I got a text from one of my most crusty, reactive step-daughters saying "If the world ends, please know I really do love you". I cried. She's not an idiot, just doesn't pay attention to this stuff and heard all the nonsense. Certainly nice to hear-she's been hell on wheels in my life so touching to have her haul off and say that, oh my!!! It's just that these people gave themselves this sort of POWER over others- it's excerable, inexcusable and beyond jail they need to be soundly slapped.

On youtube it was suggested that Camping uses the left-over donations he received for this campaign to reimburse to the people who threw away their life's savings, their college funds, their jobs, their education etc.

Camping has brought a financial end of the world for quite some people.

Just reading that Harold camping made his first appearance and statement since the 21st and said he was "flabbergasted" and didn't know why things hadn't happened as he said :eek:
