My case is on Wed and I am crash landing with stress. I have a way too full plate. I actually got sick for the first time in many years. On top of it my Mom is arriving on Thursday. My daughters car ot totaled and I need to deal with that. My T of 14 years informed me she is retiring. This all happening in the same week. Oh and I am meeting a new surgeon on Thurs.

Wow! If you need to, prioritize and organize. You'll deal with everything one by one! :) I may feel overwhelming but it's easier taking small bites at a time rather than trying to inhale everything on the plate at once. I often have to remind myself of this occasionally!

I hate to say it, but an overly full plate/cup could actually be beneficial to you in that you could fall apart completely during the review.... I know its not good to go into those things all put together. (Beyond that I have no advice as I was unavailable for an in person review so everything was done via paperwork.)

But beyond that, prioritize and focus on the most important things. Put off the T issue as ya, its upsetting and you'll need to find a new one, but the search can wait until later, after the social security review is done. Is your daughter OK? Beyond her safety and well being, put off that stuff, too, ie car issues and such.

i think Solara makes excellent points and i would add simply that when we are really stressed and things are going wrong , we sometimes keep piling on...don't...take a step back and realistically look at how you feel, i tend sometimes to go into crisis mode because i think it should be a crisis, when in reality it may be one thing that casts a shadow over everything else...keep perspective and simplify...what can i change at this immediate moment ?

And usually you find not much , so ride it out and shed what you cant deal with right now...good luck

It feels like my veins are going to explode out of my neck.

Lawyer said that because I am not 50 my medical stuff won't hold very strongly on a disbilty case. But if I was 50 I would have automaticaly been approved because of medical alone. How much sence does that make.

Hmmm... I know the determination process is a two step one. First they evaluate your ability to peform work. This is my current problem. The second is the medical which is disregarded at this time because the 1st step is my barrier. I can't just quit the job otherwise that bites me. I am trapped, yet I am free tomorrow (even though it's gonna hurt next week) with a couple of plans of doing some footwork.

I believe to as I recall, age does factor into the equation, I forget exactly how though unless they are trying to determine your retirement status into the equation.

Now I have another challenge for today! I gotta find my avatar as she went missing! :wideeyed: Hopefully She'll be found and returned to me at some point. I really miss her and she wasn't home 24 hrs! :( Almost brings me to
