One of my alters. Sat in the bath and let her come out. Figured out she's about 4 or 5, but can't speak because she is either being choked or something blocking her throat.

She seems to believe she's just dead. Black as night eyes, black hair, completely silent and motionless.

She died back then. I felt like throwing up, almost did in the bath water. Brought myself back using the skills this book taught me.

I'm just terribly exhausted now. Have responsibilities, but want to sleep all day. Stare into space. Urghh...........she did groan a lot, so that's a sign of life, right?

Yes, and you need to reassure her she is alive. I know that feeling of having a little who was almost killed coming out in the through of that moment just before she was rescued. For me it was drowning. When she first started coming back, I had a real hard time because she kept blacking out.

I was at work one time, and she did that. I picked myself up off the floor. My therapist was good at helping me reassure her she survived. I hope you share her and take her with you to your therapist. Take a tape recorder and record the session so you can play it back when you are at home. That way you reinforce what your therapist says.

@TLight - what a horrible experience. You might also like to tell her that she chose to stay and is a survivor, so she's very strong. I do hate this having to reconnect to the emotions stuff; it is SO draining. Well done for facing it.
