Stand Up To Abusers

You have to find the strength to stand up to your abuser, look him/her in the eye and not flinch. It took a lot for me to stand up to my brother. He stalked me, slandered and trashed me and caused me to lose jobs. If I went to a relatives house or to a family outing he felt free to do whatever he wanted including causing histrionic scenes and hitting and hurting me. No one would help me.
So I walked away from my family. By accident I ended up working out in a gym and after a year and a half I got very strong. The next time I saw him I was determined to give back exactly what I got and I didn't care. I stared him down and he backed off.
He still slanders me behind my back and calls the police anonymously to report me for nonsense stuff. But he knows that if he comes near me, I will fight back just as hard and I will hurt him.
This works for me.

Nice way for your brother to cry wolf....the funny thing is that one day, he WILL need the services of the police, and by then, they'll just laugh at him. Stabbed while walking down the street at night? They'll just think "oh its THAT guy again, no rush, he's cried wolf a thousand times before". Don't worry, believe in karma. He'll eventually get what's coming to him. And the great thing is that you don't have to actually do a thing.....he's the one who will ultimately be causing trouble for himself.
