Starting with disability

I never thought for one moment that I would find myself in this situation.
Next month I will receive a reduced paycheck. The month after that I will receive almost nothing- $1000.00 minus whatever they take out for insurance. I've been told that I will probably have to apply for disability and be separated from my job.
I'm not sure what to do or where to turn at this point. I've been gainfully employed for ... forever and now ...
I'm just not sure where to start.

It's a hard time to go through, to be told that you can't work any more, and that you are now classed as disabled!

It happened to me when I was 50, and I had worked all my life since leaving school at the age of 14. I went through so many emotions, I never even knew there were so many?

I went through anger, frustration, tears and tantrums, that I never knew I had within me. It took me a long time to accept it, even now, some 16 years later, I still get the odd bad day. Good luck, keep smiling.
