Staying on top of work

I'm currently completely f**king stressed out over my work.
On Sat I didn't sleep, and I worked all day and all-night (much of it needless and unproductive) on Sunday
I am so stressed out that I can't concentrate.

How do you stay on top of work? Or do you have the same thing?

Btw, I'm a freelancer

its important you apply discipline , get up and start your work like your in an office, start at 9.00 and actually get dressed. I found the hardest thing in freelancing was time...i always thought i got all day, no longer just 8 hrs ...bad mistake . treat your day like a work day , otherwise you will end up starving

I am self employed and I never book clients between 11-3 so I have time to decompress. I end up working a little longer at the late afternoon. I prefer a longer, less hectic day.

My ability to work is severely limited, mostly due to how extreme my anxiety can get under stress. What I do to make the amount of work I am able to do possible for me is schedule it only in the afternoons and evenings. I've found over years of trying to adapt to the work world that it's counterproductive to schedule anything in the mornings. When I have to, I don't sleep well the night before. For you it might be different but finding those times you are most productive and ignoring what a work day is "supposed" to look like will help you at least some.
