I am on disability (in Canada) to "ease" me back into employment and/or further schooling.
Instead, I am more stuck than ever. I am incredibly grateful for the financial help - but every month a cheque is supposed to come, and every month I can't get out of the house to do the paperwork I need to.
Basically:
1) I rely on money for bills,
2) I don't get my cheque, and so
3) I have to make all these phone calls, do ever-changing paperwork, and go for walks to the office and talk to people.
It might sound simple but this is generally excruciating for me. I always do the wrong thing for disability and I have no energy to fix it; my anxiety worsens when I cant pay rent or bills, never mind food (and cigarettes).
I apologise for rambling. I guess my question here is whether anybody else has a tie to financial assistance, how to keep up, and what has worked best for you.
Thank you for reading. I wish everyone a lovely day.
