When I was in the orphanage, I learned how to swim. We were part of a synchronized swim team. I had so much fun. I felt like a mermaid.

The way to choose goggles that won't let water in is to try them out in the shop without putting the elastic around the back of your head. While facing forward normally, put them in position around your eyes - not forcefully, just gently push them so they're fully in contact with your face - and leave the elastic hanging down the sides of your cheeks.

If they stay in place after you take your hands away, they should be watertight when you use them with the elastic. Then you won't have to pull the elastic so tight you end up with marks afterwards.

a warm sea is too weird for me.

Because it is closer to be cold? I remember when pool was warm, some places I used to feel cooler.

Jaret, could you get prescription goggles? That is, goggles which are made for you like glasses, with the same prescription?

I will check out for this. It would be awesome if I am able to get them. :)

My son is allergic to some of the plastic goggles are made out of. We have to be careful of what we get or he ends up with a red rash around his face where they were sitting.
