@stenni Thanks for the story. It made me smile.

I am dreading therapy on Monday afternoon and am bringing my stuffed dog, Cuddles. I don't know what else to do in case I get scared in her office again. I'd rather hug Cuddles and calm down then dissociate again. Last time dissociating was no fun.

I therapist has a bunch of stuffed animals in her office and waiting room. I like that!

I myself have several teddybears, as well as a stuffed lion and lamb, an ape with his own stuffed banana and a monkey with a tiny one as its baby, also a dog that I call patches, as he's made of all different colors of fabrics.

The ape was my hubby's, a gift I gave to him when he lived in a nursing home before he died. I had one just like it. I'm not sure what happened to mine, (I'd bought them for us one Valentine's Day).

I love my teddies, I have three, with this one just added to the collection, that is actually a rabbit. I am not sure if its a she or he (dont want to stereotype a pink rabbit) so I just call it Pinky.

Yes he/she is lovely. I find I generally sleep better with it and my dreams are more interactive too.

Therapy went okay-I brought my stuffed dog with me. It was so good to have him there with me. What a comfort. I started to dissociate only once and my therapist caught it and brought me out of it. All the while I felt safer hugging Cuddles.
