1. I am a sci-fi / fantasy fan. I love Stargate and Farscape.
2. My hobbies are drawing, martial arts, philosophy, and quantum physics. Mmmmm...M-theory.
3. I'm a gamer--xbox360: Fallout 3 & 4, Halo (All of them!), Fable (All of them), Elder Scrolls. I used to be a WoW-head.
4. I care. A lot. I really want to be a better person so I can make a difference, even if it's just in how I communicate and handle people directly in my daily life. It doesn't have to be a huge difference.
5. I love to laugh and it's even better when others laugh with me.

I have always struggled with an eating disorder, but pretty much have it under control at the present time. I still have days that I have to force myself to eat though, but not so often anymore.

I had a pet hen when I was young. Her name was cocoa and she was blind in one eye. She would come to me and let me pet her when I called her name.

I was in advanced classes in school.....and had a high IQ.( I say 'had' because most of the time I don't feel very intelligent)

I used to be an avid S.C.U.B.A. diver.

For fun, volunteered as an assistant instructor, and all the instructors would give me their shaky, unsure divers to train. I loved seeing fearful people "get it" and become accomplished, passionate divers.

Was trained to be a "Diver Medic" for open-water dive rescues. Fortunately, never needed that training,

Was fortunate to be invited to do some Mid-Ocean research dives, with the bottom being thousands of feet down, out of sight faded into pitch black. It's truly diving in inner-space. Awes to the core...

As a kid was diving with some people. 2 huge sharks cruised up to us, circling us. One of the older guys grabbed me and put me between him and the sharks in a panic. I just relaxed, figuring as long as he didn't turn off my air or literally shove me into a sharks mouth, I'd be ok (plus I could still stick him with my knife :D). Later, he kept telling me to tell everyone he was just "joking". Haha. Nope.

99 % of dives are the most amazing, wondrous, ecstatic experiences that you can possibly have.
I still miss diving, and it's one of my "safe places' to go to when I'm doing EMDR. Being in the water like that, with air supplied, interacting with wonderful animals is even better than being on land. (I don't know why our ancestors chose to leave the ocean :D.)

I SCUBA dive too! And I use it as a 'safe place' for EMDR, one of the few places where I feel people can't do anything bad to me. It's given me some of my best memories with my dad (I started begging to learn as soon as I found out there was a way to stay underwater longer! lol).

I am partially deaf in my right ear (firecracker was too close when I was 5)
I have a rather large blind spot on my left side (concussion from 'friendly exhibition' girls football game in high school).
I've danced since I was 5, done pointe since 13, and now do Hip Hop now in college, I actually get to teach a dance a semester for a club at my college.

I'm amazing with cars and bikes thanks to my grandfather letting me hang around his shop ever since I could walk. I can't talk about cars without thinking about him.

Having a tough day, so took a break to browse here. Believe it or not, it toughens me the heck up sometimes, kind of like sending a boxer to the corner where they do whatever before sending him back out into the ring. :)

Just wished to say to you SCUBA people and dancers, funny to see two things I've always wished to be able to do. It's probably not too late to learn diving, although it gives me the willies but ballet? Doubtful. Gosh I love watching dance, though, allll of it, classical and otherwise. Hate to admit to envy but there it is! :)

KP that's an hysterical avatar!!
