I am working to complete my first book. My goal is to be a professional writer.

I sometimes cry at commercials.

I have a tough demeanor but I'm a teddy bear.

I don't lie. Subsequently I have few friends. Connection? HA!

Oh I could go on and on....more to come.

You have great morals, are compassionate and smart. Picking our friends takes confidence. It is not easy to see through the intentions of others. Protect your heart when meeting acquaintances.

True friends are few in a lifetime. Set your boundaries and hold them. You deserve to be selective! Success on your book! Whitney

Thank you Whitney. Yes I have had two friends. We met freshman year of high school. One past away 9 years ago. I found him. It devastated me and shakes me up almost every day even now. My other friend is married and has a 1 year old. I feel I'm not needed. My acquaintances are blah. I'm horrible at meeting new people. Thanks about the book. It is emotionally stressful but I'm glad I'm doing it.

Keep posting Beautifulbroken! I am sorry for your loss. I might suggest journaling on the aspect of "not needed".

The biggest lesson I learned was that I needed to be and find me. It was an incredible journey. We tend to place power in what others bring us to. Rather than where we want to be. Find your internal self love and let it grow. :hug: Whitney

My sadness consumes me.

I listen to Neil Diamond every single day. And it makes me smile.

I call my children every day.

I am obsessed by my legacy. Only realizing recently that there isn't anyone in my life to leave one to.

@Beautifulbroken, You are giving your legacy to your children now. Their is no better gift.

I personally do not understand people that can't wait to have something inherited. It means someone has to die for one to receive it.

The saddest thing to hear is those who say I thought I would have more time. The present is all we can know for sure. :hug: our legacy is who we are, not what we are worth monetarily.

Sometimes we need to look through new eyes. :)

I am starting yet another healthy eating and exercise phase. We are planning a family holiday to Florida Jan/Feb 2014 and I know I'm not fit enough.

The holiday gives me something to aim for.
