Telling t the good stuff

I openly and frequently share both, too.

Not simply for a pat on the back, so to speak, but more so for genuine validation that I'm actually making healthful progress and actively utilizing the things I've spent so damn much time trying to learn along the way.

It feels good to have someone who innerstands the depth and circumstances of my struggles who can also celebrate and innerstand the depth of my successes on a level that very few others can "get"...especially since things I may view as being a huge success would greatly pale in comparison to what most so-called "normal" folk would consider a success.

Without those discussions, I can easily stay fixated on the struggles and remain in my deep depressive ditches.

My therapy sessions don't cost anything, as it's a free service provided through the local sexual and domestic violence shelter, so maybe that's why I feel more comfortable in sharing all sides of my particular coin vs. only focusing on the troubled areas.
