Tig-your last post sounds like my life with my daughter. I get very hurt at times and am hard on myself. The fact is, your daughter sounds a little critical-like mine. If you dont sleep tonight.....That is how my daughter would respond. I am guessing your daughter is very independent, and you have been there through the years to help her, to fix things for her, or resolve and help her figure out problems in a very productive manner. Now she is wanting to help you when she see's something wrong.
They seem like adults, yet can be very moody. So what if you annoyed her, that is her problem-not yours. If someone or something annoys me-it is up to me to handle it maturely and not bite someones head off. Who doesnt get annoyed.
My daughter, now in law school, has had different room mates every year for 6 years now. She has discovered that anyone you live with is an annoyance, some more than others. Funny, I think now that she considers me the best roomate she ever had. Some eat your food, some are pigs, some bring friends in for days at a time, some are mothering, some are late with bills. Some are just moms. When these girls are mad about something else, they take it out in the safest place possible-their moms-who will love them and forgive them no matter what. So try not to let it get to you. After three daughters all raised-I am finally letting it roll off my back a bit better.
