Yes @ihateusernames or in the case of many of those in denial, as in my family, No you didn't just get over it, you have inflicted permanent and in some cases almost fatal injures of the next two/three generations of our family!

And the Australian suicide rate suggests that we are not just getting over it.

But some good has to come from awareness even if it's just outsiders taking abuse and domestic violence seriously and really reaching out and guiding kids through other, unavoidable traumas.

I am desperate for some signs of intergenerational change @ihateusernames because what I live with - because it is still not what i lived through yet, what I live with - I can't have endured all that for nothing.

Particularly in terms of the life expectancy gap @Nighthawk.

There is a book that @intothelight talked about it "Radical Remissions" - that could be a good basis for some discussion as well.
