I twisted my knee on Monday right and think I have undone some of the good surgery that was done, I might not find out till next week though. I have to wear a mini leg brace right up until about 30 minutes before I get married. That sucks. So the pain of that and the excitement/anxiety/stress of the wedding tomorrow got me out of bed this morning at 4.30. Anyway.....
Well yesterday was a really awesome day. I finally met my second grandson. He is only 10 weeks old but it brought a smile to my face and gives me the little extra reason to keep going when times are tough.
The other grandson is now 19 months old and so smart. He was sitting next to me and before I knew it, he had my I Phone. The little bugger knows how to press the button and slide the slide across, you I Phone users will know what I am talking about. I had the best time with him. I downloaded an app called Farm Animals and we had some fun. It gives me an excuse to take my I PAD to the resort tonight, just for him..:whistle:
Well, my best man arrives at 10.20 am with my step daughter and little Rose one of the flower girls. That should be just about all the family then. Tonight we are having a big get together dinner at the resort, although it will be an exhausting day I will have fun.
The wedding is not until 4pm on Saturday, so I have the whole day to relax, maybe go for a swim, but be with family. This will be the first time we have all been together since 2006 when my father was still alive. I was not a nice person then and had pushed everyone away since. I did not even make it to my father's funeral because I could not fly. I had staples in my gut from a bowel resection.
So this wedding is going to be more special to me than anything in the last 10 years. I just hope I don't finally burst into tears as I have kept everything down since then.
So you guys, after 4 pm today, 10 hours from when I post this thread, you might not hear from me until Sunday, and I promise to post a wedding photo or three.
