Inpatient programs can be really good, they can also be a complete waste of time...
Australia has some inpatient facilities, there is one up the road from me... but really, its more for when you fall apart and just need to escape, and they teach you bits and pieces, counsel, etc... but its like a bandaid to the problem. The problem is the trauma endured, and that is what you must discuss at the end of the day, along with learning techniques to progressively evolve yourself. As you identify an issue, you look for the technique to change it from a negative to a positive.
Many programs teach you those type of things... but they are also easily forgotten when given at once, instead of given based on each problem when faced, then implemented so they become part of your daily abilities to live life.
