Thank you all for the suggestions. His behavior has been out of the ordinary. I agree that what happens in my house follows my rules. I am extremely tolerant and understand adult children will take risks....many so so before an adult. I told him what he chooses to do outside the house is his choice as an adult, but I hope he makes safe choices.
He cleaned up some of the mess last night, left for awhile, then returned, so guess he is choosing to stay at home for time being. I guess parents who care about their children always worry a bit.
@lostforgottensoul I'm sorry for your loss. What you experienced is one of my greatest fears. My assistant at work lost her son a year ago in a quad accident involving drinking. We are good friends and our boys the same age.
