The more I have thought on it, the more I am firm with my decision, I'm not going to do the show.
Its not because of Dr. PHIL, I'm grateful for some solid advice I have heard while watching his show. He doesn't concern me.
It's the production of the show that concerns me. His intentions may be genuine but then the production could completely twist the way it views on Television. I don't beleive that they nessasarily have the guests best interest in mind. Yes, every guest gets aftercare, but if my aftercare is spend dealing with trauma from the show that it will all for not.
I can't shake that concern. I don't want to be retraumatized, and I don't want to get blind-sided either.
It's a gamble really because you sign a non-disclosure agreement so anyone that was on the show can't discuss their experience of it. So I really have no way of knowing..... And I guess my gut is saying now is not my time for this. Luckily this pushed me into looking into alternative options.
