shout out to my fellow Americans. Contact your Senators and Congresspeople and tell them to approve the nomination of Garland to the Supreme Court. He is a tireless advocate for victims of crime (which most of us are). He respects the Constitution and supports women's desire to testify and be kept safe. Listen, when you've almost been killed twice, no one cares. They blame you for putting yourself in harms way. And slap the hand of the perp. Merrick Garland will be our voice. We need it and the whole country needs it. Thank you. You can write to your representatives easily online.

Do you have links to more information about him? This is a critical appointment and I don't trust anyone. I would like to see more about his cases and his other positions. No creo en nadie no creo en nada...I don't trust anyone; I don't trust nothing...at least in government. I looked a little but if you have anything special you think that I should see @KwanYingirl

I can't do research like you...no patience..should I sign the petition...and especially the 2nd ammendnent..how he feels..I don't want any guns banned other than the ones already banned..well they aren't banned just need a federal license but you know

Ok I'll email my senator and congressman, Babylonian Jacob said he's good and moderate. Anyone is better than Scalia anyhow. The 2ns ammendnent is important to me because the thought of only cops with guns is a nightmare. They don't do shit to protect people. They arrive after you're dead and eat donuts all night while cracking jokes and collecting overtime. I know super liberals are like 'just call the police' but I feel 'f*ck the police' and I don't care if saying that makes me less popular.

It's not the police guns that worry me but I'm a crime victim times two and the police treated me very well. The detectives, that is, not patrolmen. Here in Maine the cops shoot people regardless of their color, race or gender. Wonder how it is with other civilized countries in that respect. I know the US has many mass shootings. It's the crazies that scare me. I want judges that support victims and don't allow blaming the victim in their courtrooms.

I hear you. I am a victim of the police so I admit I have a different priority. I also think your cause is important. I know about victim blaming, personally. I still say f*ck the police, they are not there to protect me; they're there to put me in prison or kill me.

You know, as things are, I think judges have a healthy wariness of the police. My son got his face beat up by them when he was a teenager. So I get it. If I had showed up to rescue him brandishing a gun, I'd still be in jail. So, here's some karma: those two cops died in a drunk driving crash. They had been to a police convention and were really drunk and the driver slammed into a tollbooth.
