The Small Things In Life. What Makes You Happy?

I believe it is something primal in all of us. I find it is a spiritual experience as well. It isn't a very large plot only about 12 feet by 12 feet. I suppose it is my therapy like art is for others.

I was happy and contented this morning, cutting out butterflies in fondant, for a 10 year old's birthday cake.

So simple yet so therapeutic.

That moment when I arrive at the grandkids' house, or they at mine, when they first see me and their face lights up and they come running straight at me, no matter who else is in the room. They literally jump into my arms, I catch them and they give me a big, long hug. Even the 8 year old!, Well, she's 8 on Saturday. Got boots for her birthday that are size 5, but I still lift her and hug her!

Chocolate Pudding, Chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate bread, chocolate fudge, iced chocolate, hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered anything. Chocolate cookie, chocolate chips, chocolate shower gels, chocolate lotions, Chocolate anything!!
(give me some dark chocolate and nobody gets hurt :D)

and Sweet perfumes, and showers after sports.

War heads. They're so bloody sour but then they're sweet and it's lovely.

Sat in the garden until it is dark on a warm night with my H.

Hearing the giggles while my husband and our grandson were supposed to be sat watching TV quietly last night.

My Son and DIL sent my husband a cup for father's day with pictures of our trip from last year, one of my favorites is when somehow this quiet guy who has stayed on the outskirts ended up on the couch as the center of oooos and ahhhhhhs while reading 3 rumbumptious boys a book!! My DIL happened to catch this on the camera and the shot is amazing and totally endearing :) She and I looked at each other and could only think, "Awwwwwwwwww!!"

Kids just take you in and give you the world at a moments notice, this is forever etched in my heart and showed me yet another side of my Hunny, that being childless as he is, just blows me away! It's the little things...
