Sleeping late while on vacation.

I'm making some black bean soup with brown rice and chicken in it. It is spiced also and my home smells so good! My dog even gave me the "thumbs up" when I opened the crock pot to stir it. I guess she thinks it smells great too. She likes rice and chicken, but I have not dared give her beans. Some other time maybe! Also I heard the birds singing outside my window today when I took my dog out. Even though it is raining, that is good too, because it makes flowers grow, and we already have some! Many other things make me happy too, like coffee and cocoa....

Watching my cat trying to get comfortable to sleep on top of the radiator. She tries every evening and never learns that it's not a good place to sleep. And also the fact that she keeps running into things when i play with her as she is blind in one eye so has no depth perception. It's hilarious. She is sweet and makes me smile. One of the few things that does.
