It's Friday and I'm home  but I'm watching Golden Girls and it's a small thing that...
I try to find beauty in the smallest things. Even on the darkest days, if you a pause and look, you can find beauty. I am grateful that I can still see it.
*Looking at a flower. Really looking. The soft lines of the petals, the pollen on the stamens.Whether rose,or wildflower...so perfect.
*Waking up, opening my eyes,to see my cats sweet little sleeping face, inches from mine. The peace of just watching her breathe and dream...
*Sitting next to a stream, closing your eyes...and getting lost in the sound of the water.
*The absolute cure-all, Ben and Jerry's. Need I say more?
*Pachelbel's Canon in D, REM's Everybody Hurts, James Blunt's Goodbye My Lover, Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam's Morning Has Broken, John Denver's Poems,Prayers and Promises, Ella Fitzgerald/Louis Armstrong's Summertime,Hozier's Take Me To Church, etc, etc
*Camping on a quiet mountain lake...the crackle of a campfire, sound of loons, the sound of canoe paddles, smell of pine needles...
*The unconditional love and companionship of my dog
*A really good rain and thunderstorm
*Laying in the grass, warm sun on your face, watching the clouds go by...
