If we want to maintain annonomous to those in our lives, then we need to shut our computers off when not in privacy and only our direct view. I live alone most of the time, but my daughter was usually here during holidays/summers, etc. I do not use a pw to log on, just go to the websites I use-they are open and available with screen name. Once during trouble with daughters behavior, she stated that I am posting things about her on a website and stated some detail. I knew immediately that she could turn on my computer, go to the site, and read my stuff at any time. I had trusted that she would not do this-I was wrong. There are those that are so nosey that they want to know what is in your head, or what you dont share with them, just as reading someones journal. It may not be right, or seem creepy, but it is our responsibility to protect our own privacy. It is not the blame of the site, policy, administration.
Sorry this happened to you. We should all be cautious I suppose if we want that privacy.
