Time Perception Off

I may have asked this, but does anyone get perception of time mixed up. When I am doing poorly, a minute is like an hour. And I mean an hour.

An hour is like a day and I mean a day! And a day? Oh good lord. .......a year.

I cannot tell if it is because my thoughts are so many that a person in a normal state would think these same thoughts in a longer period of time, thus making it seem like I have been thinking them for hours.

My other perceptions go off but I can wear shades or earplugs, but this one...........IT IS EXHAUSTING!

YES! Absolutely! I've never been good at time, but it certainly seems to fluctuate with my mood. When I'm doing good, time goes WAY too fast and when I'm doing bad... it's forever. And it feels like forever and it totally seems endless.

Yes, this happens so much when I'm off meds. I will lay down in hopes of sleep making me feel a little better and I'll doze off then wake up, just certain that I've slept for a couple of hours and it's only been 15 minutes. The worst is during the winter months. Holy crap, my whole perception of time and everything is thrown out the window during winter. :cautious:

When I was new to my symptoms and on certain medications perception of time just made everything worse. I would peer at the clock constantly waiting until I could take that other pill, it was awful and my stress levels were in maximum overdrive.

Now days its all about sleep. The perceptions aren't going to be all that well when you are sleep deprived probably. To help me with this I have decided to try my best to try to sleep as much like a normal person does, sleep around midnight and wake up around 8am. It's also a good idea to have interactions with people in person to ground you into reality. Having a routine will make time flow correctly I find.
