Time To Get Cracking With Christmas Cards

At least it got there early and not late. :D

It seems some things posted from the UK last year in November, did not get to there destination until February.

Posting cards just in the UK could be interesting, as we know how bad our post can be when there is the slightest upset to their routine.

I still was there was an HAHAHAHAHAHA option, along with the 'like' option! Atl22-yes, I do not have a translator but think it means nutroll?

Do you need to have addys resent, Nicolette? I didn't KNOW the UK still had surface mail- they discontinued ours, the rotten schmucks. I have a certain package of Fairy Dust ready for posting and syrup, Amethist's card reminded me it's in the back seat-hee. She's SO efficient, isn't she?? Also reminded me that now I can at least save card postage, slice it open and put hers in amongst the Fairy Dust. Those last 2 sentences might seem random so sorry on your thread- the Fairy here knows what I mean. I'll forget if I don't say something while it's in my head.

I love Christmas!!! Thanks for the first thread referring to it. :) I hope this year it'll be the same, with everyone decorating avatars. Sorry again for taking it off topic- am a Christmas wuss.

:roflmao: I cannot believe how efficient you all think I am.

If the lady at the post office had not given me the wrong date for posting the last airmail items, they would all probably be still sat here looking at me longingly to be posted.

I will be watching for the postie in about 2 weeks or so now Annie. :)

A friend of mine that lives in Belfast went to visit his daughter in Australia recently and sent me a post card. I was surprised it got to me when he had the wrong house number on it. The last 2 digits he got right but the first number was wrong. He put a 3 for the first number and there are no 300 series on my street.

Last year I send Christmas Cards to members from this forum who would like a card from Australia. Turned out snail mail was pretty bad and from memory Iam got hers in January when I mailed it late November.

Nicolette,

Your a champion, a wonderful person and a caring supporter. I'm from Perth now in Holland but will be back next year sometime.

All the best and keep up the good work.

Love,
Loloma

Our postal system just admitted to losing 4% of mail - when they process 2 million mail items a day that's a hell of a lot to go missing. It once took a week and a search party to find client documents sent registered mail from only a suburb away (5 kilometres).

Must say our airline system is of concern currently too!

Yes Nicolette, good old Union and Qantas. Basically neither of them give a :poop: about the public in general, the poor stranded passengers and tourists. Another blow to Australia's reputation!
