Mine too, our hearing is more acute at night. Sometimes it's worse than at other times. Too much caffeine can make it worse. I just try not to focus on it if possible.
Some of the C&P folks are now recognizing MOS a substantiating factor. Atry? Motar team? Or just blown to shit on the road, all factor in. Any paper you got to put you in any of the above scenarios definitely helps. Hollar at me if they deny, got some things you can do.
Ironically, in an hour I go in for the 2nd 6-month (one year) check-up of my time in the 18-month nationwide tinnitus study for vets. My ears are ringing while I sit here.
Well my tinnitus is improving, not that the sound is going away but it is less distraction, less of a mental issue during my normal day. The sound is always there I just don't notice it as much. When I was in the booth they brought up a sound that almost exactly matched my tinnitus tone. then they told me that was the tone we worked to duplicate nearly a year ago so we nailed it. They can actually hear the tone that I hear which seems pretty interesting to me.
They informed me the study is still open for new people but only fully retired military since Tricare covers the cost of the trial. The info is on the PDF attachment about "TRTT" in one of my earlier comments on this thread.
My eardrums hurt from the buzzing since I went into withdrawal.
Really hope this goes away.
All senses are on overload. There houses are not soundproof anyway.
Now at night I can hear the neighbor snore with all windows closed.
Even hear their light switch when they turn it on and off.
I also suffer from tinnitus. Caffeine and MSG are the enemy, but so is temperature. My doc suggested ear plugs. Crazy but it works for me. I out in disposable foam plugs for about an hour and it subsides, often for days. I hear anti inflammatory drugs and cold packs help too, but this is not an area if expertise for me.
