Dead Link Removed

The daughter of a wealthy businessman, Jillian Kincaid grew up with bodyguards shadowing her every move-and she hated it. Now a TV anchorwoman, she refuses to let another hired thug follow her around. Not even when she begins to receive terrifying death threats. Not even when the bodyguard is the darkly seductive Nolan Garrett...

Trained in Special Ops, bodyguard Nolan Garrett has been hired by Jillian's father to keep her out of danger. But it's clear from the start that Jillian isn't going to make his job easy. Far from the spoiled princess he expected, Jillian is tough, independent, and totally sexy. And she's fighting him every step of the way.

As Jillian's stalker raises the stakes, Nolan must keep her close if he wants to keep her alive. But being so close can only turn up the heat that's been simmering between them-a heat that could explode into passion at any moment...

I was struggling to buy this for my Kindle. I tried Anthonys hiding IP thingy and couldn't suss it properly. To be honest, I didn't try too hard. So I have bitten the bullet and ordered it secondhand, paperback. It was cheaper anyway and it means I can pass it on to Crafty Cath when I've read it.

I'm now waiting for snail mail.

I am a book behind but I am going to look for this one next time I go to the Wall-Mart I haven't found gone girl yet in stores but in my town its #3 on the Best Sellers List.

I'm finding this a little (well a lot) predictable. I'm about 1 third through. Spoilt woman. Macho bodyguard. Lots of angst and attraction.

I can guess what happens next - yawn.

Sorry I'm a tad cynical. I wait to be proven wrong.

I wait to be proven wrong.
I so hate being right all of the time. The only thing I didn't figure was who the baddie was. Clues about that were few and far between. I did work out who it wasn't.

So, I've read it and now I'm happy to pass it on to Crafty Cath - not one I'll re-read.

Yup... not a fan of predictability in books either. I love books that mix it up. Right into Clive Cussler at present, because even a series of books still mixes it up in each book. The good guy doesn't always win, things don't go to plan, or sometimes they do, and shit is constantly happening that you just can't make a pattern from.

I am going to spend much of my day giving myself the gift of time to sit outside and read. Wow. It has been a long time since I have purposely taken myself off the work and housewife treadmill. Sounds great! I need to catch up.
