@Lionheart777 My official quit day is in 6 days, I did start the quitting process a little sooner than that date and actually the gum has been helping, What I may do when my quit date approaches is probably lower the dosage by 1/2 as I have been given the 4 mg gum. I have previously used the gum (2 mg) in between cigarettes when I was previously traveling, the funny thing is and I am not sure I mentioned this, is that my last time I had quit I quit for 2 weeks and then ended up traveling and that is why I was without a support network, thankfully I am not planning any travels at this time.

11/4/2017 Still using the Nico gum in place of cigarettes! I have a counseling Session this AM in about 3.5 hours. So, I am gonna need to make sure I depart on time and be there within 30 minutes of my scheduled time! Last session I messed up! :( Oh well. At least I know that this session will occur and I know I will be a little early.

I will likely be writing some more later.

Anyways I want you to know I fully support your quit and you may private message me whenever you are experiencing a craving, and we can talk ya thru it!! I hope you would do the same for me. Since we are good friends anyways, it makes sense that we support one another in this difficult, but soon to be successful, endeavor!!! Don't you agree?
Indeed! I agree, and I am willing to do as you are with private messages as well. Yes! we are indeed good friends. Stay Strong my bro! We can conquer this!

@SeanCharles...well good for you...and I stopped smoking in 8/05...and since I can quit...anyone can stop...mind over matter! And I'd smoked from my mid teens until again 8/05.

Yet it also took me several attempts to finally lay the cigarettes down for good. Just sayin'. Someone once said to me that I was inhaling fire into my lungs and that did not sit well with me.

So good for you on being smoke-free! Yay!

@Sean Charles yes good for your mom and I've heard of many people using gum to continue to help them stop their cigarette cravings...for nicotine is compared to heroin in that it's so addictive and a very hard habit to break...but very doable. Wishing you continued success in staying quit! Yay!
