What if you ask someone not to respond to you but they continue to do so?

On this site you can use the ignore feature, @Little Flower. That will keep you from seeing any of their posts.

I wish I had an ignore feature for life in general.

No, there isn't. When you put someone on "ignore" (ignore feature), you can't read their threads and responses. Others can still see what you wrote. It's like in real life: You can only control your actions not others. But if you stick with it, then it should be fine and not bother you any more.
