Top Tips to Help You Discern Good Threapies from Bad (Fake) Ones
(1) Does it appear on ANY of those peer-reviewed scientific journals? (Does it claim that scientists conspired to oppress the therapies/therapists)
(2) Who is the funding source of these therapies? (Conflict of Interest)
(3) Does the therapy exaggerate? (Claim to cure illness fast and painless, for example)
(4) Does the therapy rely on testimonials rather than empirical evidences? (Testimonials are easy to create, impossible to verify objectively)
(5) Does the therapy claim it cures many illnesses together? (Too good to be true)
(6) Is the therapy being tested scientifically (Scientific Method: Falsible, repeatable, open to public....)
(7) Does the therapist have relevant credentials? (Expertises)
(8) No threapy is discovered without being compatible with existing theories. (Principle of Association)
(9) Is it better than placebo effect? (If you felt better even though the threapy has no effect on you)
(10) Is the therapy derived from two most common therapies: (CBT and Exposure Therapies have strong evidences, but other derivatives are NOT YET)
