Hi all! I watched the movie Room last night, for the first time, and enjoyed it! However, it triggered flashbacks, forced pain to come out of my body (couldn't sit down), and I only got four hours of sleep...

That was a pretty heavy film. I can't imagine there are many PTSD sufferers who would be able to watch it without experiencing flashbacks. I read the book and that was enough for me to experience body flashbacks like you mentioned.

Yes, I am in therapy! And yes, it was extremely intense, and I could relate to a lot of it.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have a lot of trouble with movies. Many different types of situations cause what my psychiatrist calls body memories. Needless to say, I don't get to the theater often.
