Today I saw an old picture of Trump and 15 yr old daughter Ivanka. It was disgusting. She was splayed over him like he was her boyfriend, not father.

Keep in mind I don't know who or what happened to me as a child. Just that something DID.

This sent me bonkers. I tried watching tv to get my attention off it, didn't work. Got in my car and drove. Had to pull over. Head too spacey.

The thought of it being my father....ughhh... Sends shivers thru me. Spoke to one of my siblings about it. Not straight out of course... A lot of innuendos goin on but he got the point. While he was replying, I felt hot and cold, tears pouring down my face.

We hung up and I'm posting here for some insight & help please! This ruined my day.

Sorry you feel that way. When I see that photo I also got the same reaction. It's gross! I had an emotionally incestuous relationship with my father and it brought back lots of feels of, ugh....

wow. I can't personally relate (and glad to be in Canada) but your story sounds awful, frightening and just simply a nightmare!

Very possible you have suppressed memories that have been triggered. Do you have anyone you can go to? I've gone on youtube just for music videos with lyrics and find it helpful to calm down anxiety as well as put a different image in my mind.

I also think your reaction is perfectly normal. Anyone would react to a photo like that, but in your case, a traumatic response should never be minimized or downplayed..
