Trying To Understand Something About My Inner Child

I don't know the American education system, so I'm not sure what age elementary school

Generally it is grades 1 through 6th. We start 1st grade at 6 years old.

Well then having an inner child of that age makes sense to me if you were experiencing the abuse from that age.

Thank you all for your response to my post. You have all given a lot of imput, and I appreciate it. I am still trying to figure out if this inner child is just part of my imagination, or some kind of disassociation.
I tend to think he is just a part of my imagination to help me understand the hurt, but I think I will call my T and ask her.
