I've been reading up about English ceasing to be one of the official languages of the EU, Jean-Claude Junker, pointedly refusing to speak English today, and a bunch of other silly spiteful crap
I was gladdened to see in the comments section, people mentioning narcissistic/psychopathic rage, the confusion shown by narcs and psychopaths when people don't react to them as they had expected,
and when leaving a narcissistic/psychopathic relationship, expect to get stalked and expect various acts of bunny boiling.

They should be very careful of such a thing IMHO... the EU will become part of Russia at this rate -- or worse, another Hitler will be instigated with some high belief they can take on the world once again.
NATO has been seriously baiting Russia with increased troop and missile numbers along the border and big war games along the border and into the Black sea
Fortunately, last weekend, German and Bulgarian ministers have both declared that what is going on is provocation, not defence, and a a top NATO general has come out and said openly that there is no evidence of a Russian threat

William F Buckley Jr and his National Review which began the Neo Con movement, appeared to have the specific aim (he and at least 2 of his other senior editors were on the CIA payroll) to ostracise anyone who was anti war from the American conservative fold, and to bring conservatives from a non interventionist foreign policy to one of supporting and even praising foreign wars and interventionist foreign policies. They succeeded.
At least the German and Bulgarian ministers realise that if NATO sparks a war with Russia, it will be fought in Germany and Bulgaria, not America
I can guess the response of many Americans if Russia and thirty odd other countries were staging military exercises just over the border in Mexico, and had warships just off San Diego - especially when a few goat rapists in the middle east are viewed as a direct and imminent invasion threat to america...

Within mainstream keynesian economics there is also the fallacy that war is good for "the economy"
the keynesians defining "the economy" as "aggregate spending", so wasting trillions on bombing cities and killing people is therefore "good" because it increases aggregate spending.
It's the "Broken Window Fallacy" writ large

With all of that said about a very dangerous situation being provoked by NATO in Europe
I'm tempted to view the call for a dissolution of national identities and a political and military union
as being a bit like someone in a relationship which is rapidly falling apart, producing a ring and proposing marriage in the hope that that will magically make things all lovey dovey once again.
We know how that turns out

More like another Stalin, and with the way eastern Europe's up at past a few years, with nationalisms on the rise and demoralization within civic societies, it's not that difficult step to take.
Honestly I think it's counter common sense to describe country wide dynamics by pop understanding of individual psychology.
It could be useful about individual actors, where correct psychology. If correct about the person, and not just about describing their acts and rhetorics.
Beside that? It's just distracting nonsense.

I'm referring to the top individuals in the EU, a couple of notable examples of people who in my personal opinion are beginning to act like jilted narcissistic bunny boilers would be Jean-Claude Juncker and Martin Schulz.
The populations of the actual countries come in all sorts of personalities from good to bad and all variations in between.
However, particular characters at the highest levels of the EU, certainly seem to me to be acting like narcs.
Juncker appear to be irrationally going out of his way to score narcissistic points, as an example, Juncker's comments to reporters that Scotland could hold talks with the EU separate to the rest of the UK.
Juncker clearly did not think beyond being a narc, and as a result he was slapped down by the Spanish Prime Minister, Rajoy, who realises full well that If Scotland gets separate talks with the EU, then so too must the separatist leaders in the Spanish Basque region and in Catalonia, and in every other region with substantial separatist sentiments.
I'd actually like to see those regions seceding, but in the present context, I strongly suspect that Juncker has zero interest in secession and every interest in getting back at people who have scorned the institution that grants him authoritah.
