Uma is exactly the first therapist that understood combat-related, non-military PTSD out of nearly a two year search. She's tough, caring, empathetic, does her homework and definitely thinks about her patients long after they've left her office.
She splits her time between therapy and research (Ph.d) and, unfortunately, is taking a sabbatical + Maternity Leave in December (sucks for me). That said, if you're looking for a therapist in the Spring 2012, I can say that she jumped through all my hoops and survived a lot of anger and... this month, I was able to pull myself back from flooding and Panic Attacks caused by helicopter trigger... not consistently, but I finally feel that I'm getting there.
