@Fionas74 Correctomundo. The first big eugenics program was started long, long before the 1939's in the US. In 1904 the Carnegie Foundation funded a eugenics program run by Charles Davenport in the US. We were way ahead of the German program of eugenics. A Britisher by the name of sir Francis Galton got these wonderful (not) ideas going at the London School of Economics and Cambridge in the late 1880's.
Galton coined the word eugenics in London in 1883. :D
@Justmehere. I know where you are coming from, no doubt cavemen thought about it too. But, it is only in recent times when these ideas were codified well enough, funded well enough, and implemented well enough, to kill millions of undesirables, like the members of my tribe. Your point is more academic, mine is memorialized in the unforgettable smell of burning human flesh. :D

I'm grinning at the hypocrisy of mankind. My tone is trying to be positive in an insane, corrupt world. The members of my tribe have learned to keep smiling through the pain and persecution. Its not that goofy wide smile of the other emojis. That is fake. No, my feet are firmly planned on the ground. I have seen enough of this world to not smile too widely. On the other hand a frown emoji is negative. Emotions are transmittable, that is not the emotion I want to spread around. Not productive. No, a grin is great, positive, but not so positive that I appear high. And not fake. Ya, I like it. I also positively grin because If I start crying about the smell of burning flesh, I may never stop. You see Joey, I have smelled the the burning flesh of my brothers. I think we as a species have done enough of that sh*t, don't you? :D

I got to tour a defunct. mk ultra facility the other day. I wish I could talk more about it, I am litterali bursting at the seams wanting to talk about it, but I can say very little. I can say not all of the experiments were damaging. Some did contribute to the advancement of psychology. The person remembers very little, but it mostly being interviewed and taking iq type tests. I am stretching the limits of what I can say but there was a relative connection to the CIA. Grrr he won't give me permission to say more, but it is so fasenating.

I bet that is extremely difficult to not talk about it. Once again I turned to Wikipedia to read about it. I’ve heard of it before and it’s frightening what happens to many people without their consent with these secret programs used by the CIA to experiment on people to manipulate mental states and alter brain functions by the use of LSD and psychological torture. The research was done in major US universities and run torture laboratories where they would torture, rape, and psychological abuse of adults and children. People used were mental patients, prisoners, drug addicted, sex workers, CIA employees, military personnel, doctors, and members of the general public.
It’s absolutely horrific reading about all the human experiments that have been done without their knowledge and what they did to children! Researchers infected children with dangerous chemicals, syphilis, herpes, malaria, hepatitis to name a few. Inject women with cancer cells. Infect patients in mental institutions. The US Army spray several ships with biological and chemical warfare agents with thousands of military personal were aboard those ships. US Army released Bacillus globigli into the tunnels of the NYC Subway System. Researchers gave pregnant women iodine to study the aborted embryos. Gave newborns iodine-131. Alaskan citizens continually exposed to radioactive iodine. Uranium injected into people. Pregnant mothers given “vitamin drinks” which contained radioactive iron. The US Atomic Energy Commission and the Quaker Oats corporation researchers fed mentally disabled children oatmeal containing radioactive calcium. Experiments on severe burn victims which were mostly on the poor and black. Universities and hospitals around the country would conduct research including injecting radioactive chemicals into malnourished babies then push needles through their skulls, into their brains, through their necks and into their spines to collect cerebrospinal fluid for analysis. Pregnant women injected with radioactive cortisol. In 1975 atmospheric nuclear explosions in Nevada released enough radiation to cause thousands of cases of thyroid cancer and thousands of deaths. Expose thousands of military personnel to mustard gas. Spray chemicals over US and Canadian cities. Researchers intentionally blistering the skin on the abdomen of children using cantharide. Exposed sulfur mustard and nerve agents on Chemical Corps personnel. Studies were performed on the behalf of Dow Chemical Company, US Army, and Johnson & Johnson by applying skin-blistering chemicals to faces and backs of inmates. Using psychological abuse to induce stuttering in children. Acne medication tested on children. Electroshock experiments on children from 3-12 years old between 1940-1953 by a highly respected pediatric neuropsychiatrist at Bellevue Hospital. The University of California Department of Pediatrics performed experiments on newborns by inserting a catheter through the babies umbilical arteries and into the aorta then submerged their feet in ice water. They strapped newborns to a circumcision board and turned them upside down so that all the blood rushed to their heads.
Absolutely wanted to throw up reading this. Of course there are laws in place just recently so that this shouldn’t happen but it still does. Just like I used to think that there wasn’t child marriages legal in the US but there are!

And, for sure, it definitely can be. Wasn’t saying catastophe is never invented, both yellow journalism is a thing, and starting a war abroad is a tried and true method to distract from problems at home... what I was saying was that there was no need to invent anything. Especially the further up the food chain one goes. An interpersonal relationship or a mayor of a small town being far more likely, in my experiemce, to be making shit up, than someone who has an entire city’s crime to pick and choose from, or at the national/international level.

And then dozens and dozens of big bad things we’re only marginally involved with or affected by...
And these are just the major ongoing conflicts. One can also add in natural disaster, outbreaks, corporations (from espionage to conflict to economics... big multinational corporations are much like territorial nations in both their complexity to their effect on the world), human rights violations... list goes on. There’s no shortage of shiny to pick and choose from. If someone needs a distraction from their peccadillo? Just highlight something that’s already happening.
