Mistakes are very valuable life learning skills.
I think if a leader of any group etc cannot admit they do not know the answer or have made a mistake. Toss them!
I can forgive mistakes and I think if a leader can admit that he/she made a mistake along with why it will not be happen again. (the lesson) I can personally move on. I don't think being a leader requires expert knowledge about everything.
I think there is too much avoidance about the concept of not knowing everything and making mistakes. This can then transfer down into all forms of governance and seep into the collective conscience of individuals.
awareness of that is a pretty valuable trait.
