Crap I am moving to Australia!
Everyone else is at the moment... so you may as well join us mate! :roflmao:
Our Coalition party stopped immigration for some years, as we had too much, then Labor got back in, (as you mentioned, lots of promises to the young people, they voted them in, now their learning and regretting that decision, changing for the next election) and opened the gates on immigration again, flooding the country with migrants. We are already a very multi-cultural country, but sometimes it gets a bit silly. Australians aren't mass exiting to immigrate to Asia, China, Japan, Indonesia, etc! Can't wait for the next election... Labor will be out, Coalition back in, and they will tighten up border control, immigration, spending, etc, again.
Our country is like a yo-yo with politics, always has been. Coalition spend on infrastructure, save money, balance the economy, workforce, etc... steady increases in wages with the cost of living... then Labor make lots of promises, people say, why not? 10 years or so after having the Coalition in, then they open borders up, go on a mass spending spree, wages remain the same, cost of living goes through the roof, they get kicked out, then the Coalition are put back in to balance it and get it all under control again... just as they do at the 10 year mark, the process repeats.
