Ladies and Gents, this is in no way a criticism of your discussion. I just would like to suggest something. VA employees are a very spoiled and arrogant bunch. If they detect even the slightest sarcasim or badmouthing, they will make your life a living hell. Your file may be shredded and you are told they never received your claim. They will take your file off the top and bury it under the pile.
They know every dirty trick in the book and can keep your claim going in circles for years. When I came back from Nam, I was a very angry man and everytime one of those jerks would pull some crap, I would send a vitriol-laced letter to them. They would gleefully do something to set my claim back for years.
So, when interfacing with them, keep it as cool and calm as you can manage. I know, it ain't easy keeping your cool when they are calling you a malingerer, liar, fake, phoney, just out to live off Uncle's dime, try your best to keep it professional.
Just a little advice.
