General Validation

I have an (online-only) friend that Sufferer/Survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I have known them for 13yrs.. They contacted me yesterday. After not talking to me for two years. The showed me several pictures they took of themselves(I hate the term 'selfies'). My emotional reaction to the first picture(of her feet)Was to say they were 'sexy'(I don't care what a woman looks like. She just doesn't need to think she has to look like a runway model). I thought that was the end of the pictures. Then she unexpectedly showed me one semi-nude, and two nude, pictures', of herself.

While it seems like a search for 'validation', of some sort, to me. Aren't the nude pictures, way over the top? Even for validation? One of the nude pictures showed her weight. Several years ago. I saw her in much better shape(not nude, or 'eating disorder' skinny, thankfully), than she is today.

Also, Never to talk to her about the pictures.

Knee-jerk reaction is that it is a bit odd to send nudie shots to an old friend out of the blue. Do you have a history of this at any other time?

Just to clarify(in case your mistaken; maybe I am misunderstanding you)I am not the saying I sent them. I agree it is rather sudden for her to send me nude pictures. But, Again, Is it her trying to get 'Validation'?

I understand she was the sender... I guess my question was weirdly worded. When I asked if "you" had a history of sending nude pictures, it was meant as "you guys" collectively. As in, has she sent you pictures like this before, and just doing it out of the blue is disconcerting? Or did she just randomly send you nude pictures out of the blue for the first time?

It's hard to say if it was for validation. It could be for any number of reasons. It could be validation. It could be reckless behavior, etc. Could she be attracted to you?
