Hi all -

I know many of you have concentration probs and I am now experiencing this too, in the days following a major release of old memories. But I'm having trouble discerning between this and vertigo. Maybe I'm having vertigo (I feel a pressure in my head, and an inability to focus, lots of 'lost time' during work meetings, etc).

My T says that it means that there's a lot going on internally and I can ask whomever is coming up to let me know what is going on, so that I can respond. She also said I may need more sleep/a vacation.

Ever get vertigo? How do you all deal with these symptoms? I'd like to think that the concentration difficulty is temporary, but I'm a little freaked out.
Thanks!

I.hate.vertigo.

Yes, I have problems with it. I think it may be some kind of precursor to a migraine.

Learn to be kind to yourself- forgiving. Don't abuse yourself if you feel an attack come on. I'm speaking from my own personal experience.

I chew gum a lot. Drink hot tea (sometimes coffee makes it worse for me). Maybe have a meaningful stuffed animal you can hold when you don't feel well? Deep breathing?

Dark rooms, quiet and no movement help me in the end.

Thank you Sethe; this is helpful. It sounds like it comes and goes for you / is not constant... It does feel like a 'reorganization' is going on, and that has to be a good thing, I would think.

Yup. I think the occur when I'm stressed. I'm learning to calm myself. I think that's the key for me.

Vertigo as in you lose balance and fall over? I AM! I just lose physical balance and have to put my hands/arms out to rebalance.

I went to yoga tonight and again I lost all balance and looked more like a wounded duck flapping wings than a graceful swami. Same thing in Tai Chi. And when I lose it I've lost it and its hard to get back. I almost sat down and sat out the rest, but flapped and groped until they did something 'sitting'

The funny thing is I dont get it with my eyes closed. So I was wondering if it related to vision (mine is now shite)

Does anyone else get this?
