Yeah...
If I'm not comfortable disclosing my PTSD, I say with a smile, "oh, I have a medical condition".... most people get the message to not ask... if they ask "what kind?"... I'm like, "uh, a bad one?" Jokingly.
My main thing that people notice is shakiness - so I say "one that makes my hands shake"... or "one that requires me to have a service dog", I guess, for you.
The other option is "something neurological", which is the right combination of specific and vague for me...
I hate pushy people. I don't mind innocent curiosity, but three follow-up questions is too many for me. I once told someone at a pub that I had "High Presbyterianism"... she looked it up on her phone and was not best pleased that I was kidding.
My other favourite is the non-sequitur... "what medical condition?".. "oh it's neurological... does it look like it's gonna rain to you?"....
No one, however much they may act like it, is entitled to your information. I get the human curiousity thing... but people push too hard.
Scars, in particular, most people think are neutral, because they got their scars from something non-traumatic.
