1. Burning it off / putting the chemical maelstrom in my blood to good use.
Added benefit that it seems to retrain when those chemicals are actually needed.
2. Sensory Tricks. Partial distraction, partial putting my CNS to different use. Swimming/full body immersion in water, hot&cold alternating showers, rolling sandalwood beads between fingertips, strong smells like camphor or spices, free-fall like swings / trapeze, loud music I can feel in my bones, etc. Anything that engages the senses in as profound a way as possible that is ALSO soothing or invigorating.
