Yes, today we bought a car, a long time needed but finally we have one.
We have been looking at a certain type of car for quite a while now, one which hubby can drive with his full bike licence. So as soon as we got the interim payment from the solicitors, we were on a serious hunt for a used one.
Boy have we got a bargain.
It will be 5 years old in February, has only 6,400 miles on the clock. It has had one owner, who bought, had it serviced and sold it back to the garage we have bought it from.
We had looked at a few others and they were either over priced or scabby, and seriously needed sorting out.
We are not picking it up permanently until after we have been for hubby's 4 day course in January, but it is ours. :D
We will be able to have days out, weekends away camping at quiet places in the summer, and our freedom back.
At least now I wont have to carry the shopping home, or use that dreaded granny shopper for much longer. Hubby may not come into the super market with me, but at least he can drive me there and back.
He has now crashed, but we were out for nearly 5 hours, and went to the friends house who took, us for a cuppa after.
Just have to pass my car test now, so I can drive it and go out in comfort.
So all in all a good day today.
